Kulwant Singh Launches ₹68.87 Lakh Gobindgarh–Dhelpur–Gadana Road Strengthening Project | Mohali Dialogues

Under the leadership and guidance of Bhagwant Mann, Kulwant Singh laid the foundation stone and officially started the ₹68.87 lakh road strengthening project connecting Gobindgarh, Dhelpur and Gadana under the Public Works Department (B&R), Punjab.

The road project is aimed at improving rural connectivity and making transportation safer, smoother and more convenient for residents travelling between the villages and nearby areas.

According to project details shared during the ceremony, the road strengthening work will be completed within the next six months and is expected to provide major relief to daily commuters, farmers, students and local residents.

Speaking during the foundation stone ceremony, Kulwant Singh said the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen infrastructure and accelerate development work across Mohali constituency.

“Our mission is to move Punjab forward on the path of progress in every sector, and our government is fully committed to achieving that vision through continuous development-focused initiatives,” Kulwant Singh said.

He further stated that better roads directly improve daily convenience for farmers, students, commuters and local residents while also strengthening social and economic connectivity between villages.

Panchayat members present during the ceremony appreciated the Mann Government’s development-oriented approach and thanked the Punjab Government for prioritising grassroots infrastructure projects.

Residents from Gobindgarh, Dhelpur and Gadana also welcomed the project and expressed confidence that the strengthened road would reduce travel inconvenience and improve transportation facilities in the region.

Villagers said poor road conditions and connectivity issues had been creating difficulties for commuters and local residents for a long time, especially during rainy seasons and heavy traffic movement.

Locals expressed confidence that the upgraded road would improve transportation, strengthen village connectivity and provide safer travel for nearby communities.

The foundation stone ceremony witnessed participation from Panchayat representatives, local residents and party workers, many of whom described the project as another important step toward strengthening rural infrastructure in Mohali constituency.

Over the last few years, road connectivity and infrastructure projects have remained central to the Punjab Government’s governance agenda, particularly in rapidly expanding constituencies like Mohali where rural and urban development are increasingly interconnected.

Residents present during the event said visible development work at the grassroots level strengthens public confidence because people directly experience the impact of governance through improved roads and better infrastructure facilities.

For many villagers, the beginning of the Gobindgarh–Dhelpur–Gadana road strengthening project represents more than road construction alone — it represents the continued expansion of development toward every village of Mohali constituency
