Kulwant Singh Lays Foundation Stones Of ₹1.25 Crore Link Road Projects Across Five Villages | Mohali Dialogues

Giving a major boost to rural infrastructure and connectivity in Mohali constituency, Kulwant Singh laid the foundation stones of circular link road projects across five villages with development works worth nearly ₹1.25 crore officially beginning under the Punjab Government’s rural infrastructure initiative.

The projects are expected to significantly improve transportation facilities for local residents while making daily travel safer, smoother and more convenient for commuters, farmers, school students and nearby communities.

According to local estimates shared during the event, hundreds of families across the surrounding rural belt are expected to directly benefit from the upgraded road connectivity. The projects will improve movement between villages and nearby urban sectors of Mohali while also helping reduce traffic-related inconvenience and road accident risks.

Speaking during the foundation stone ceremonies, Kulwant Singh said strengthening rural infrastructure remains one of the Punjab Government’s key priorities under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann.

“These roads are directly connected to the convenience, safety and everyday lives of villagers. Better road infrastructure not only improves transportation but also strengthens development at the grassroots level,” Kulwant Singh said.

He further stated that Punjab today is progressing rapidly across multiple sectors including infrastructure, education, healthcare and public welfare under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann.

Kulwant Singh said the Punjab Government has fulfilled the commitments made before coming to power and has also launched several additional welfare schemes aimed at improving quality of life for people across the state.

“Our government is continuously working to ensure that development reaches every village and every household. Infrastructure development remains one of the strongest pillars of Punjab’s growth model,” he added.

Residents from the villages welcomed the projects and appreciated the government’s continued focus on strengthening rural road infrastructure. Villagers said damaged roads and poor connectivity had been creating difficulties for daily commuters, especially during monsoon seasons and peak travel hours.

Many locals expressed confidence that the new link roads would improve accessibility to schools, markets, healthcare facilities and nearby urban areas while also making transportation safer and more efficient.

The foundation stone ceremonies witnessed participation from local residents, village representatives and party workers, many of whom described the projects as an important step toward strengthening grassroots development in Mohali constituency.

Over the last few years, infrastructure and connectivity projects have remained a major focus area under the Punjab Government’s development agenda. In Mohali constituency particularly, several works related to village roads, civic infrastructure and connectivity expansion have been initiated across both rural and urban regions.

Residents present during the event said visible development projects at the grassroots level strengthen public confidence because people directly experience governance through improved infrastructure and better daily convenience.

For many villagers, the beginning of construction work across the five villages represents more than road development alone —

it represents the continued expansion of development toward every corner of Mohali constituency.
