Kulwant Singh Joins Anti-Drug Awareness Rally In Maujpur Under “Yudh Nashian Virudh” Campaign | Mohali Dialogues

As part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, Kulwant Singh joined an anti-drug awareness rally organised in village Maujpur, Mohali, where local youth and villagers came together to spread awareness against drug abuse and encourage collective action against narcotics.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from young residents, village representatives and community members who raised awareness slogans and appealed to people to unite in the fight against drugs.

Participants moved through different parts of the village carrying awareness messages and motivating people, especially the youth, to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthier and safer society.

The campaign is part of the Punjab Government’s broader efforts under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann to strengthen public participation in the fight against drug abuse across the state.

Speaking during the rally, Kulwant Singh said awareness at the grassroots level is essential to defeating the drug menace and protecting the future of Punjab’s younger generation.

“Youth awareness is the strongest weapon against drugs. When villages, families and young people unite together, society becomes stronger against this challenge,” he said.

Kulwant Singh further stated that along with strict action against drug networks, public awareness and social participation are equally important in creating a drug-free Punjab.

Villagers participating in the rally appreciated the government’s efforts to involve local communities in anti-drug awareness initiatives and said such campaigns help build social responsibility and public consciousness.

Residents also highlighted the importance of continuous awareness drives in villages and educational institutions to ensure that young people remain informed about the harmful effects of drug addiction.

The anti-drug rally concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to support the fight against drugs and spread awareness within their communities.

Over the last few months, anti-drug campaigns and awareness drives have intensified across Punjab under the Mann Government, with the administration focusing both on enforcement action and public participation to tackle the issue at the grassroots level.

For many villagers, the event represented not just an awareness campaign —

but a growing public movement where communities themselves are stepping forward to protect Punjab’s future.
