Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema strongly criticized the BJP during a Punjab Vidhan Sabha session held on the occasion of Labour Day, accusing the party of disrespecting the Constitution framed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Addressing the Assembly, Harpal Cheema highlighted the initiatives being undertaken by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the welfare and upliftment of workers, labourers, and their families. He specifically mentioned the steps being taken to improve educational and social opportunities for the children of labourers and economically weaker sections.
Cheema stated that the Punjab Government is committed to empowering people connected to grassroots communities and ensuring inclusive growth across the state. He further remarked that opposition parties are unable to accept the progress and prosperity of ordinary people under the current government.
Kulwant Singh and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders reiterated the government’s commitment toward social justice, equality, and the protection of constitutional values envisioned by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
