Kulwant Singh Lays Foundation Stone Of Gige Majra Circular Road Project | Mohali Dialogues

Under the leadership and guidance of Bhagwant Mann, Kulwant Singh laid the foundation stone and officially started construction work for the circular road of village Gige Majra under the Public Works Department (B&R), Punjab.

The road project, being developed under the Punjab Government’s rural infrastructure initiative, is aimed at improving village connectivity and making transportation safer, smoother and more convenient for residents of Gige Majra and nearby areas.

Speaking during the foundation stone ceremony, Kulwant Singh said the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen infrastructure and accelerate development work across Mohali constituency.

“Our mission is to move Punjab forward on the path of progress in every sector, and we are continuously working to achieve that vision through development-focused initiatives,” Kulwant Singh said.

He stated that better roads directly improve daily convenience for farmers, students, commuters and local residents while also strengthening connectivity between villages and nearby urban regions.

Kulwant Singh further added that the project is being executed with a focus on quality construction standards so that residents receive long-term benefits from the upgraded road infrastructure.

Panchayat members present during the event appreciated the Mann Government’s development-oriented approach and thanked the Punjab Government for prioritising grassroots infrastructure projects.

Residents also welcomed the project and expressed confidence that the strengthened road would help reduce travel inconvenience and improve transportation facilities in the area.

Villagers said improved road infrastructure would make daily movement easier and provide safer connectivity, especially during monsoon seasons and heavy traffic movement.

The ceremony witnessed participation from Panchayat representatives, local residents and party workers, many of whom described the project as another important step toward strengthening rural infrastructure in Mohali constituency.

Over the last few years, road connectivity and infrastructure development projects have remained central to the Punjab Government’s governance agenda, particularly in rapidly growing constituencies like Mohali where rural and urban development are increasingly interconnected.

Residents present during the event said visible development work at the grassroots level strengthens public confidence because people directly experience the impact of governance through better roads and improved public infrastructure.

For many villagers, the beginning of the Gige Majra circular road project represents more than infrastructure development alone — it represents the continued expansion of development toward every village of Mohali constituency
