Kulwant Singh Launches ₹42 Lakh Nanumajra–Sambhalki–Sukhgarh–Saneta Link Road Project | Mohali Dialogues

Continuing the rapid pace of infrastructure development across Mohali constituency, Kulwant Singh launched the construction work of the Nanumajra–Sambhalki–Sukhgarh–Saneta link road project by laying the foundation stone for the road today.

The road project, being developed at an estimated cost of around ₹42 lakh, is aimed at improving rural connectivity and strengthening transportation facilities for residents of Nanumajra, Sambhalki, Sukhgarh and Saneta villages.

The upgraded road is expected to make daily travel safer, smoother and more convenient for farmers, students, commuters and local residents who regularly travel through the route.

Speaking during the foundation stone ceremony, Kulwant Singh said the Punjab Government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann is continuously focusing on strengthening road infrastructure and accelerating development work across rural areas of Mohali constituency.

“Better roads directly improve people’s daily lives by reducing travel inconvenience, strengthening village connectivity and supporting overall local development,” Kulwant Singh said.

He further stated that the Punjab Government is ensuring quality infrastructure development so that people receive long-term benefits from public projects being executed across villages.

Residents from Nanumajra, Sambhalki, Sukhgarh and Saneta welcomed the project and appreciated the government’s continued focus on strengthening grassroots infrastructure.

Villagers said poor road conditions and connectivity issues had been creating inconvenience for commuters and local residents for a long time, especially during rainy seasons and heavy traffic movement.

Locals expressed confidence that the strengthened road would improve transportation facilities, reduce travel difficulties and provide safer connectivity between villages and nearby areas.

The foundation stone ceremony witnessed participation from local residents, Panchayat representatives and party workers, many of whom described the project as another important step toward strengthening rural infrastructure in Mohali constituency.

Over the last few years, road connectivity and infrastructure projects have remained central to the Punjab Government’s development agenda, particularly in rapidly expanding constituencies like Mohali where rural and urban development are increasingly interconnected.

Residents present during the event said visible infrastructure development at the village level strengthens public confidence because people directly experience the impact of governance through improved roads and better public facilities.

For many villagers, the beginning of the Nanumajra–Sambhalki–Sukhgarh–Saneta road project represents more than road construction alone —

it represents the continued expansion of development toward every corner of Mohali constituency.
