Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann highlighted the Punjab Government’s commitment toward the welfare and dignity of workers by moving a proposal in the special Labour Day session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to increase minimum wages for labourers across the state.
During the session, it was stated that the issue of enhancing workers’ wages had been consistently raised earlier as well, and the government has now taken concrete steps toward implementing the proposal. The initiative is aimed at improving the financial condition and social security of workers and labourers in Punjab.
Kulwant Singh appreciated the move and stated that the Bhagwant Mann government remains committed to standing with workers, labourers, and economically weaker sections of society. He said that increasing minimum wages would help provide greater respect, dignity, and financial support to thousands of hardworking families across Punjab.
AAP leaders also emphasized that the Punjab Government is continuously working toward people-centric policies focused on labour welfare, employment opportunities, and social justice.
