Mohali pilgrimage buses from Phase 5, Aerocity and village Kandala began a journey today carrying elderly pilgrims under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan. The three buses have been arranged for the elders travelling from these three Mohali-area locations, with the pilgrimage covering religious, historical and heritage places.
The elderly pilgrims will visit Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum during the journey. After visiting these five destinations, the pilgrims will return. The listed places together form the route planned for the pilgrimage being undertaken under the state government scheme.
The buses are departing from Mohali Phase 5, Aerocity and village Kandala. This brings together elderly residents from an established Mohali phase, the Aerocity area and the village of Kandala for the same pilgrimage programme. Their travel is being organised through the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan, which covers the journey to the named destinations and the return after the visits.
The itinerary includes two religious sites at the beginning of the listed route. Shri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple are part of the pilgrims’ religious visits. The journey also includes Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum, giving the elders an opportunity to visit places connected with faith, history and heritage during the same trip.
Mohali pilgrimage buses cover five destinations
The three buses will take the participating elders through the full set of destinations identified for this pilgrimage. The route includes Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The pilgrims are scheduled to return after completing visits to these places, keeping the journey focused on the five locations named under the plan.
The programme therefore combines visits to religious destinations with visits to important historical and heritage sites. Shri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Temple are included for religious observance, while Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum are also included in the itinerary. Together, these locations make up the pilgrimage route for the elderly passengers travelling from the three departure points.
During the pilgrimage, every facility of accommodation and food will be provided to the elders by the Mann government. These arrangements are part of the support being offered during the journey under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan. The provision of food and accommodation is intended to assist the pilgrims while they travel to the listed destinations and complete their visits.
The facilities announced for the elderly pilgrims cover accommodation and food during the pilgrimage. With these arrangements, the participants from Mohali Phase 5, Aerocity and village Kandala will travel as part of the same organised programme. The Mann government will provide these facilities during the journey, as the buses take the elders to the religious, historical and heritage places included in the route.
Pilgrimage facilities for elderly residents
The departure of the three buses marks the local participation in the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan. One bus is linked with Mohali Phase 5, another with Aerocity and the third with village Kandala. The arrangement allows elderly pilgrims from all three locations to undertake the listed journey together, with their return planned after the visits are completed.
The pilgrimage’s destination list remains centred on the five named places: Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. The elders will travel to these locations before returning. The route brings religious and heritage visits into one programme for the participating pilgrims.
The Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan is the scheme under which the journey has been organised. Its local details include three buses, three departure locations and elderly pilgrims travelling to five specified destinations. The Mann government’s arrangement for accommodation and food is also part of the support being provided during the trip.
For the elderly residents travelling from Mohali Phase 5, Aerocity and village Kandala, the pilgrimage offers a shared route to the five listed sites. The buses will carry them to Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. After the visits, the pilgrims will return, completing the journey organised under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Plan.
