Two buses carrying elderly pilgrims from Mohali’s Phase-7 and Phase-9 left today for a pilgrimage under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan. The journey has been arranged for elderly pilgrims travelling from the two Mohali phases, with the group scheduled to visit religious, historical and cultural places during the trip. The Mohali pilgrimage buses will return after the participants complete the visits included in the programme.

The departure marks the beginning of the pilgrimage for the elderly travellers from Phase-7 and Phase-9. Both buses have left Mohali with the pilgrims on board for a journey covering five named destinations. The itinerary brings together places connected with religious devotion, heritage and important events. The group will visit Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum.

Mohali pilgrimage buses begin the journey

The first major destination listed for the pilgrims is Shri Harmandir Sahib. The visit is part of the pilgrimage being conducted under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan. For the elderly participants, the journey provides an arranged opportunity to visit the religious places included in the schedule while travelling together from Mohali. The buses from the two phases are taking the group through the complete programme before bringing the pilgrims back.

The itinerary also includes Durgiana Temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal. These two places form part of the religious destinations selected for the journey. The pilgrims will visit them along with Shri Harmandir Sahib as they continue their travel under the plan. The three locations are included in the same schedule and are part of the visits planned for the elderly group that left from Phase-7 and Phase-9.

Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum are also included in the pilgrimage itinerary. These destinations add historical and heritage places to the journey alongside the religious sites. The pilgrims will therefore visit locations representing different aspects of faith, public memory and regional history during the same trip. The five destinations named for the journey are Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum.

The travel plan covers both the outward journey and the return of the elderly pilgrims. After visiting all the locations included in the programme, the group will return. The two Mohali pilgrimage buses have accordingly set out with a defined route and a scheduled conclusion after the listed visits. The return is planned only after the pilgrims have completed the itinerary covering the five destinations.

Accommodation and food for pilgrims

During the pilgrimage, accommodation and food will be provided to the elderly participants. The Mann government will provide every facility of accommodation and food during the journey, covering the basic arrangements required while the pilgrims travel and stay as part of the programme. This assurance applies to the group leaving from Mohali’s Phase-7 and Phase-9 under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan.

The facilities for stay and meals will accompany the pilgrimage arrangements as the elderly group visits the religious, historical and cultural destinations. Along with travel to Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum, the pilgrims will receive accommodation and food during the journey. These provisions are part of the arrangements described for the programme.

The departure from the two Mohali phases has brought the pilgrimage into motion for the elderly travellers. The Mohali pilgrimage buses will continue with the planned visits before returning with the participants. The journey combines the five listed destinations with arrangements for accommodation and food, allowing the pilgrims to undertake the programme under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan.

The group will return after visiting Shri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Sathal, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum. With the Mann government providing accommodation and food throughout the journey, the two buses have begun the scheduled pilgrimage for elderly pilgrims from Phase-7 and Phase-9 in Mohali.
