Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana visited Ansal Society in Mohali to understand the civic issues being faced by residents and interact directly with members of the society. Representatives and residents shared their concerns regarding local infrastructure and civic services, including sewerage-related problems.
During the visit, the residents and representatives apprised Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana of the issues affecting their area. The Mayor listened to their concerns and took note of the problems requiring attention from the Municipal Corporation. The interaction provided an opportunity to understand the situation on the ground and discuss possible measures for improving civic services in the locality.
A key concern raised by the residents was related to the sewerage system. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana assured the residents that the sewerage issue, along with other matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation, would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early resolution.
The Mayor said that direct interaction with residents is important for understanding the problems being faced in different parts of Mohali. He emphasised that field visits allow the Municipal Corporation to assess local conditions and prioritise civic works according to the needs of residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also assured the society representatives that necessary follow-up would be carried out with the relevant departments. He said that the Municipal Corporation would continue to focus on improving basic civic infrastructure and ensuring that residents receive better public services.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that resolving the genuine problems of residents is an important responsibility of the Municipal Corporation. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure and improving public services. He assured the residents of Ansal Society that their sewerage concerns and other issues falling within the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction would be pursued with the concerned authorities and efforts would be made to resolve them as soon as possible.
The visit to Ansal Society reflected the importance of direct public engagement in civic administration. Regular interaction with residents and field-level assessment of local problems can help ensure that development and public services remain responsive to the needs of different communities across SAS Nagar Mohali.
