Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana conducted a field visit to Sector 70 in Ward No. 34, SAS Nagar Mohali, where he interacted with local residents and reviewed the condition of civic amenities. During the inspection, the mayor listened to the concerns of the people regarding the maintenance of parks, cleanliness, garbage disposal, road maintenance, and the cleaning of drains, reaffirming the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to responsive and citizen-focused governance.

While touring the area, residents highlighted several issues related to the upkeep of public spaces and municipal services. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana personally assessed the condition of parks, roads, and drainage systems and reviewed the cleanliness arrangements in the locality. He emphasised that regular maintenance of civic infrastructure is essential for ensuring a clean, healthy, and comfortable living environment for residents.

Taking immediate note of the issues raised, the mayor issued strict on-the-spot instructions to the concerned Municipal Corporation officials to expedite the cleaning of roads and drains, improve garbage collection, and ensure proper maintenance of parks. He directed the officers to carry out the required works without delay and maintain regular monitoring so that residents do not face recurring civic problems.

Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that field inspections provide an opportunity to assess the actual condition of public services and enable the administration to respond more effectively to local needs. He added that direct interaction with residents helps identify priority issues and ensures that development works are implemented in a timely and transparent manner.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure and improving civic services across the state. He said that the Municipal Corporation will continue conducting regular inspections in different wards to ensure better cleanliness, efficient waste management, well-maintained parks, and improved public amenities. He assured residents that every genuine concern would be addressed promptly to enhance the quality of life in Mohali. The visit to Sector 70 reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued focus on proactive governance and effective civic management.
