Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office, where citizens shared the issues affecting their respective localities and sought solutions to civic concerns. The interaction was part of the Mayor’s ongoing efforts to maintain direct communication with residents and ensure that public grievances are addressed in a timely and transparent manner.
During the meeting, people from various sectors, wards, and villages of Mohali explained the problems being faced in their neighbourhoods. The concerns related to municipal services, civic infrastructure, sanitation, roads, drainage, street lighting, water supply, and other issues under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana listened carefully to every representation and assured residents that their concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt action.
The Mayor said that direct interaction with citizens is essential for understanding local needs and strengthening public service delivery. Such meetings help the Municipal Corporation identify priority issues, monitor ongoing works, and ensure that development projects are aligned with the expectations of the people.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further stated that every genuine issue raised by residents would be pursued with the relevant authorities. He emphasised that responsive governance, regular public engagement, and timely follow-up are important for improving civic amenities and building greater trust between the administration and the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and resolving their problems remains his foremost priority. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and promoting transparent, citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that all issues falling within the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction would receive due attention and sincere efforts would be made to ensure their early resolution. The interaction reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible governance and citizen participation.
