Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office, where citizens shared the issues and concerns affecting their respective localities. The meeting was part of the Mayor’s regular public outreach programme aimed at maintaining direct communication with residents and ensuring that civic issues are addressed efficiently through the Municipal Corporation.
During the interaction, people from various sectors, wards, and villages of Mohali apprised the Mayor of the challenges they were facing in their neighbourhoods. The concerns related to municipal services, sanitation, roads, drainage, street lighting, water supply, parks, and other civic matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana listened attentively to every representation and assured residents that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely action.
The Mayor said that direct engagement with citizens is essential for understanding local priorities and strengthening the delivery of public services. He noted that regular meetings with residents enable the Municipal Corporation to identify important civic issues at an early stage and ensure that development works are planned according to the needs of the community.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also emphasised the importance of continuous coordination with the concerned authorities to ensure that public grievances are resolved without unnecessary delay. He reiterated that responsive governance and accountability remain central to the Municipal Corporation’s approach to serving the people of Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and addressing their concerns remains his highest priority. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and delivering transparent, citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that every issue within the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to ensure its early resolution. The interaction reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible governance and meaningful public participation. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to witness rapid urban growth, regular dialogue with residents will remain an important part of improving civic infrastructure, strengthening public services, and ensuring that development benefits every neighbourhood across the city.
