Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana visited Gurdwara Akal Ashram, Sohana, SAS Nagar Mohali, where he paid obeisance and sought the blessings of Guru Sahib. The visit was marked by a spiritually enriching gathering during which he also had the opportunity to meet Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa and his jatha before their departure on a three-month Gurmat Prachar tour to Canada, England, and several European countries.
During the visit, the Mayor joined the congregation in prayer and wished Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa and his team success in their mission of spreading the teachings and values of Sikhism across the world. He appreciated their dedication towards Gurmat Prachar and acknowledged the important role played by religious preachers in promoting the messages of peace, humility, equality, and selfless service.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana interacted with members of the congregation and conveyed his best wishes to the religious delegation embarking on the international tour. He said that such initiatives help strengthen cultural and spiritual ties with the global Sikh community while preserving Punjab’s rich religious heritage for future generations.
The Mayor also expressed his gratitude to the management and organisers at Gurdwara Akal Ashram for the warm welcome and respect extended to him during the visit. He said that religious institutions continue to play an important role in promoting social harmony, community service, and moral values within society.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to preserving and promoting Punjab’s spiritual and cultural heritage. He said that the teachings of Guru Sahib continue to inspire people to live with compassion, honesty, and humility. He extended his heartfelt best wishes to Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa and his accompanying jatha for a successful Gurmat Prachar tour and prayed for their safe journey and continued service to humanity. The visit to Gurdwara Akal Ashram reflected the importance of faith, community participation, and cultural heritage in public life.
