Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana conducted an on-ground inspection of Sector 88, Sector 89, and the adjoining areas of SAS Nagar Mohali to review the city’s cleanliness arrangements and assess the condition of public spaces. The visit was part of the Municipal Corporation’s continued efforts to strengthen sanitation services and maintain a clean and healthy environment for residents.
During the inspection, the Mayor visited important intersections, internal roads, and surrounding areas to evaluate the ongoing cleanliness work. He reviewed the sanitation arrangements, examined the condition of public spaces, and interacted with the concerned officials regarding the maintenance of cleanliness across the area. The inspection focused on identifying locations that required immediate attention and ensuring that sanitation services were being carried out efficiently.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana observed the existing arrangements and directed the concerned departments to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the sectors. He emphasised that regular sanitation drives, timely waste collection, and continuous monitoring are essential to keeping public places clean and preventing civic issues that may inconvenience residents.
The Mayor also instructed officials to remain vigilant and ensure that cleanliness is maintained not only in the main roads and public areas but also in internal streets and adjoining localities. He stressed that effective sanitation management contributes directly to public health, improves the overall appearance of the city, and enhances the quality of life for residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that maintaining cleanliness across Mohali remains one of the Municipal Corporation’s highest priorities. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban services and creating cleaner, healthier, and more livable cities. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure that sanitation work is carried out regularly and efficiently and stated that strict monitoring would continue to ensure accountability and better civic services for the people of Mohali. The inspection of Sectors 88 and 89 reflects the Municipal Corporation’s ongoing commitment to improving Mohali Civic Development through better sanitation, responsive governance, and continuous monitoring of public services. As Mohali continues to expand, sustained efforts to strengthen cleanliness, civic infrastructure, and citizen services remain central to building a cleaner and more sustainable SAS Nagar Mohali.
