As part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing campaign against drug abuse, MLA Kulwant Singh met members of the War Against Drugs teams from various wards of SAS Nagar Mohali on 19 June 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots efforts to create a drug-free society, supporting volunteers working in the field, and discussing practical measures to make the anti-drug campaign more effective under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
During the interaction, MLA Kulwant Singh distributed identity cards (I-cards) to the members of the War Against Drugs teams, recognising their role in spreading awareness and supporting the government’s mission to eliminate the menace of drugs from society. The volunteers shared their experiences from the ground and highlighted the challenges they encounter while conducting awareness activities and engaging with local communities.
The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss the practical issues faced by the volunteers and identify solutions that would help strengthen the campaign at the grassroots level. MLA Kulwant Singh assured the team members that their concerns would be addressed through coordination with the concerned departments so that they could continue their work more effectively. He appreciated the dedication of the volunteers, whose efforts are helping spread awareness among youth, families, educational institutions, and local communities.
