Boosting rural development and housing support, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh distributed financial assistance under the Rangla Punjab scheme to beneficiaries across the constituency.
Under the initiative, cheques of ₹2 lakh each were provided to nine families to support the repair and improvement of their houses. The assistance aims to help families upgrade their living conditions and ensure safer housing.
In addition, development grants were allocated to several villages for local infrastructure works. A grant of ₹5 lakh was provided to Kallon village, ₹8 lakh to Mananan village, and ₹6 lakh to Jhampur village to support various development projects.
Kulwant Singh handed over the grant cheques to the respective panchayats and directed them to ensure that the development works are completed in a timely manner. He emphasised the importance of efficient utilisation of funds to deliver visible improvements at the ground level.
He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents through targeted welfare initiatives.
Residents and local representatives welcomed the initiative, noting that such support plays a crucial role in accelerating development in villages.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to ensuring that government schemes reach every eligible beneficiary and contribute to the overall development of the Mohali constituency.
