Kulwant Singh Flags Off Pilgrimage Bus from Kumbra Mohali

Strengthening efforts to support the spiritual journeys of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off a bus pilgrimage from village Kumbra under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Plan.

The bus carrying senior pilgrims was flagged off in the presence of local residents and officials, marking the beginning of a well-coordinated and meaningful journey. As part of the pilgrimage, devotees will visit key religious and historical sites including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Pilgrimage Site, Jallianwala Bagh, and Partition Museum.

Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that the initiative is aimed at ensuring that senior citizens can undertake religious visits with comfort and dignity. He noted that such programmes are particularly beneficial for elderly residents who may not be able to organise such journeys independently.

He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is making comprehensive arrangements to ensure that pilgrims are provided with all necessary facilities including transportation, accommodation, and meals throughout the journey.

Residents of village Kumbra appreciated the initiative, highlighting that it reflects a strong commitment towards the welfare and well-being of senior citizens.

Kulwant Singh reiterated that such initiatives will continue to be expanded so that more residents of the Mohali constituency can benefit from welfare schemes while staying connected to their cultural and spiritual heritage.
