MLA Kulwant Singh participated in the religious and cultural programme “One Evening in the Name of Lord Shiva” organised in Mohali on 30 July 2026, alongside Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The event witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees, local residents, and members of the Sanatan community, who gathered to offer prayers and celebrate the occasion in an atmosphere of devotion and harmony.
The programme featured devotional performances and prayers dedicated to Lord Shiva, bringing together people from different walks of life. The event highlighted the importance of preserving Punjab’s rich spiritual heritage while promoting communal harmony and mutual respect among all communities.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann thanked the devotees and local residents for their enthusiastic participation. He emphasised the importance of maintaining Punjab’s long-standing tradition of religious harmony and brotherhood, where people of different faiths have lived together with mutual respect and unity.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also announced the expansion of pilgrimage facilities for followers of Sanatan Dharma, stating that the Punjab Government would facilitate pilgrimages to prominent religious destinations through its pilgrimage initiatives. The announcement was welcomed by the devotees present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that programmes celebrating faith and spirituality play an important role in strengthening social harmony and preserving the cultural traditions of Punjab. He appreciated the large turnout of devotees and welcomed the government’s efforts to expand pilgrimage opportunities for followers of Sanatan Dharma. He also reiterated the importance of promoting unity, peace, and mutual respect among all communities. The programme concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Punjab.
