Following the resolution of the land pooling issue raised by farmers under the Kisan Insaf Morcha, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh met a group of farmers at his office who expressed gratitude after their demands were addressed.
The issue had recently led to a protest outside the GMADA office, where farmers had raised concerns regarding land pooling policies. Kulwant Singh stated that the demands of the farmers were brought to the attention of the Punjab Government, leading to a timely resolution of the matter.
He acknowledged the role of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in addressing the concerns and ensuring that the issue was resolved without delay, which also led to the end of the farmers’ hunger strike.
During the meeting, farmers thanked the Chief Minister for resolving their demands and also honoured Kulwant Singh for his efforts in raising the issue. The interaction reflected a positive outcome following dialogue between the farmers and the government.
Kulwant Singh expressed his gratitude for the trust and respect shown by the farmers and reaffirmed his commitment to standing with them. “I will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers and continue to raise their concerns at the appropriate platforms,” he said.
The MLA reiterated that resolving public concerns through dialogue and coordination remains a priority, ensuring that the interests of farmers and residents are effectively addressed.
