MLA Kulwant Singh encourages organisers and voluntary blood donors during a blood donation camp held in Sector 69, Mohali.

MLA Kulwant Singh participated in a blood donation camp organised at Sector 69, Mohali, on 8 August 2026, and encouraged the organisers as well as the blood donors participating in the camp.

The camp was organised in collaboration with the Punjabi Heritage Cultural Society, with Ward No. 13 Councillor Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Dhanoa and her husband, S. Satvir Singh Dhanoa Ji, playing an active role in supporting the initiative.

During his visit, MLA Kulwant Singh interacted with the organisers and blood donors and appreciated their efforts towards encouraging voluntary blood donation. He conveyed his best wishes to everyone associated with the camp and recognised the importance of such initiatives in supporting patients who require blood during medical treatment and emergencies.

Voluntary blood donation is an important community service, as donated blood can provide critical support to patients undergoing surgeries, medical treatments, and emergency care. Community-led camps also help create greater awareness about the importance of regular and voluntary blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that donating blood is a noble form of service through which an individual can directly help save another person’s life. He appreciated the donors who came forward to contribute voluntarily and encouraged more people to participate in such humanitarian initiatives whenever possible.

He also congratulated the Punjabi Heritage Cultural Society, Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Dhanoa, S. Satvir Singh Dhanoa Ji, and all other organisers and volunteers for conducting the camp and creating an opportunity for residents to contribute towards this important social cause. The camp witnessed participation from local residents and voluntary donors, reflecting the spirit of community service in Mohali.
