Continuing efforts to support the spiritual journeys of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off the 21st pilgrimage bus from village Saneta under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Yatra Plan.
The bus carrying senior pilgrims was flagged off in the presence of residents and local representatives, marking the beginning of a well-organised spiritual journey. During the pilgrimage, devotees will visit prominent religious and historical destinations including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Pilgrimage Site, Jallianwala Bagh, and Partition Museum.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that the initiative aims to provide senior citizens with an opportunity to undertake religious visits with ease and dignity. He noted that such schemes ensure that elderly residents can fulfil their spiritual aspirations without inconvenience.
He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is ensuring that all necessary arrangements including transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided to the pilgrims throughout the journey.
Residents of village Saneta appreciated the initiative, highlighting that it reflects a continued focus on public welfare and senior citizen support.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to expanding such initiatives so that more residents of the Mohali constituency can benefit in the future.
