Boosting rural development across the constituency, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh oversaw the distribution of development grants to village panchayats under his leadership.
During the programme, District Planning Board Chairperson Prabhjot Kaur distributed cheques worth a total of ₹1 crore to around 21 villages, with each village receiving ₹5 lakh for various development works.
The cheques were handed over to the respective panchayat representatives, who will utilise the funds for local development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and public amenities in their villages.
Kulwant Singh emphasised that such financial support is essential to accelerate grassroots development and ensure that villages receive the necessary resources for timely completion of works. He directed the panchayats to utilise the funds efficiently and ensure that development projects are completed without delay.
He further highlighted that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and empowering local bodies through targeted initiatives.
Village representatives appreciated the initiative and expressed confidence that the funds will contribute to visible improvements in their respective areas.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to ensuring balanced development across all villages of the Mohali constituency.
