Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met residents of village Barmajra in Mohali under the Lok Milni programme, providing an opportunity for villagers to directly interact with the Chief Minister and share their views and experiences regarding government schemes and local development.
A large gathering of residents attended the programme. During the interaction, people expressed their satisfaction with various facilities and welfare measures being provided by the Punjab Government and spoke about the implementation of commitments made by the Mann Government.
A significant number of women from the area also participated in the programme and expressed their appreciation for the financial assistance being provided to eligible beneficiaries under government welfare initiatives. Their participation highlighted the importance of welfare measures aimed at supporting women and families across Punjab.
During the Lok Milni programme, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also announced a special grant of ₹50 lakh for development works in village Barmajra. The grant is expected to support civic and infrastructure-related works required for the development of the village and improvement of facilities for local residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that direct interaction between the Chief Minister and residents provides an important platform for understanding people’s needs and reviewing the impact of government initiatives at the grassroots level. He appreciated the large participation of villagers and thanked them for expressing their views and support.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that the Lok Milni programme reflects the Mann Government’s approach of remaining connected with people and listening directly to their concerns and experiences. He thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for announcing the ₹50 lakh special development grant for Barmajra and expressed hope that the funds would further strengthen civic infrastructure and public facilities in the village.
Malwinder Singh Kang, Member of Parliament from the constituency, along with party leaders and workers, was also present during the programme. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated in the gathering and contributed to its successful organisation.
