Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana today flagged off a bus carrying elderly pilgrims from Phase-11, Mohali, under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Yatra Scheme. The bus was sent off with a green flag as the pilgrims began their religious journey.
During the pilgrimage, the elderly pilgrims will visit Salasar Dham, Shri Khatu Shyam Ji and several other religious and historical places before returning to Mohali. The journey provides senior citizens with an opportunity to visit important pilgrimage destinations with organized arrangements.
On the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana extended his best wishes to all the pilgrims and wished them a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey. He expressed hope that the pilgrims would return with memorable experiences and divine blessings.
According to the arrangements under the scheme, the Mann Government will provide facilities for accommodation and food throughout the pilgrimage. These arrangements are intended to make the journey more convenient and comfortable for the participating elderly pilgrims.
The flag-off programme at Phase-11 brought together the pilgrims and members of the local community. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana interacted with the elderly pilgrims and conveyed his wishes for their safe journey. The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Yatra Scheme is aimed at facilitating people in visiting important religious destinations while providing necessary support during the journey.
