Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana participated in the Independence Day celebrations at Ryan International School, Chandigarh, where he had the honour of hoisting the Tricolour. The occasion was particularly special for him as he is a former student of the same school.
Returning to his school on Independence Day and hoisting the national flag brought back memories of his student years. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana expressed heartfelt gratitude to his teachers and the school for the education, guidance, values, and respect he received during his time there.
The Mayor said that a school plays an important role in shaping a person’s character and laying the foundation for their future.
