The Aam Aadmi Party’s organisational presence in the Mohali constituency received a boost on 8 August 2026, as more than 20 families from Balongi joined the party, citing the development-oriented approach and public welfare policies of the Punjab Government.
The joining took place under the leadership of Magan Ji, with prominent members including Lal Bahadur Ji, Dalip Kumar Ji, and Budh Ram Verma Ji among those joining the Aam Aadmi Party along with their families and supporters.
Welcoming the new members, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the growing participation of people in the party reflects their confidence in the government’s development agenda and welfare-oriented policies. He extended a warm welcome to all the families who joined the organisation and expressed hope that their participation would further strengthen public engagement in the constituency.
According to the announcement, the new entrants had been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other political groups before deciding to join the Aam Aadmi Party. Their induction adds to the party’s local organisational network in Balongi and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that every family joining the party brings with it new hopes and expectations. He said that the trust placed in the Aam Aadmi Party also carries a responsibility to continue working for the welfare of residents and addressing issues at the grassroots level.
