Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office, where citizens from various sectors, wards, and villages shared the civic issues affecting their respective localities. The meeting was part of the Mayor’s ongoing public outreach initiative to maintain direct engagement with residents and ensure that their concerns are addressed through responsive and transparent governance.
During the interaction, residents apprised the Mayor of issues related to sanitation, road maintenance, drainage, street lighting, water supply, parks, cleanliness, and other civic matters under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana listened attentively to every representation and assured the residents that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely action.
The Mayor said that regular meetings with citizens are essential for understanding the needs of different neighbourhoods and strengthening the delivery of municipal services. He noted that direct interaction enables the Municipal Corporation to identify priority issues, monitor the progress of development works, and ensure that public services continue to improve in line with the expectations of the people.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further stated that all matters within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be pursued with the concerned authorities until appropriate action is taken. He emphasised that accountability, timely follow-up, and continuous public engagement remain key pillars of effective civic administration and sustainable urban development.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and addressing their concerns remains his foremost responsibility. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure, improving public services, and promoting transparent, citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that every issue brought before him would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to ensure the earliest possible resolution of all civic problems falling within the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction. The interaction reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible governance and active public participation. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to grow, regular dialogue with residents will remain an integral part of improving civic infrastructure, strengthening municipal services, and ensuring that development reaches every section of the city.
