Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana visited the park in Ward No. 33, Sector 70, SAS Nagar Mohali, along with Councillor Bibi Gurpreet Kaur Ji, where he interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns, and reviewed the condition of the park and surrounding civic infrastructure. The visit was part of the Municipal Corporation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public amenities and ensure better maintenance of neighbourhood parks and public spaces.
During the interaction, residents shared various civic issues affecting the locality and suggested improvements related to the maintenance of the park and surrounding areas. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana carefully heard their concerns and assured them that all matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be addressed on priority.
The Mayor also inspected the park and reviewed the ongoing maintenance requirements. He directed the concerned Municipal Corporation officials to undertake comprehensive cleaning of the park, carry out the pruning of trees, and ensure proper rainwater drainage to prevent water accumulation during the monsoon season. He further instructed officials to maintain regular cleanliness and ensure that the park remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for daily use by residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that parks are important community spaces that contribute to the health, recreation, and overall well-being of citizens. Proper maintenance of green spaces, effective drainage, and regular sanitation are essential for creating a clean and healthy environment for families, senior citizens, and children who use these facilities every day.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to improving civic infrastructure and enhancing public services across Mohali. He said that the Municipal Corporation will continue to focus on maintaining parks, strengthening drainage systems, and ensuring cleanliness in every ward. He assured residents that their suggestions would receive due attention and that every effort would be made to improve the quality of civic amenities in the area. The visit to Sector 70 reflected the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to responsive governance and community participation. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to grow, regular inspections and direct interaction with residents will remain an important part of strengthening public infrastructure, improving neighbourhood facilities, and ensuring a cleaner, greener, and more livable city.
