As part of the Mohali Municipal Corporation election campaign, MLA Kulwant Singh participated in the “Aap Di Sarkar, Aap Da MC” outreach programme in Ward No. 24 in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidate S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu. The programme brought together local residents, community members, and supporters to discuss development priorities and the importance of strong local governance for the continued progress of the area.
During the visit, MLA Kulwant Singh inaugurated the newly established election campaign office set up for Ward 24. The office is expected to serve as a centre for public interaction, campaign coordination, and communication with residents throughout the election period. The inauguration provided an opportunity for local residents and party workers to come together and discuss issues related to civic infrastructure, public services, and community development.
Residents attending the programme shared their views on matters concerning roads, sanitation, street lighting, water supply, waste management, parks, and other essential civic amenities. Such interactions help public representatives understand local priorities and ensure that future development initiatives are aligned with the needs and expectations of the community.
The “Aap Di Sarkar, Aap Da MC” campaign focuses on strengthening engagement between citizens and local representatives while encouraging active participation in the democratic process. Municipal councillors play an important role in addressing ward-level concerns, coordinating with civic authorities, and ensuring the effective implementation of development projects. Their contribution is crucial in improving service delivery and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Ward 24, like many other areas of SAS Nagar Mohali, continues to experience increasing demand for quality infrastructure and efficient civic services. Strong local leadership, coupled with community participation, is essential for addressing these challenges and ensuring balanced urban development.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has emphasized citizen-centric governance, improved public services, and stronger local institutions. Municipal representatives are expected to contribute significantly to these efforts by remaining connected with residents and working towards community welfare and development.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu on the inauguration of the campaign office and extended his best wishes for the upcoming elections. He said that effective public representation requires continuous engagement with residents and a commitment to addressing local concerns through dedicated service.
He further encouraged residents to actively participate in the democratic process and support candidates who are focused on development, better civic services, and public welfare. He expressed confidence that S. Naseeb Singh Sandhu would work sincerely for the people of Ward 24 and contribute towards strengthening local infrastructure and community development.
The programme concluded with interactions between residents and community leaders, highlighting the importance of grassroots participation in local governance. As Mohali approached the Municipal Corporation elections, the focus remained on development, improved public services, and building stronger communities through responsive and accountable leadership.
