The “Aap Di Sarkar, Aap Da MC” campaign aims to strengthen the connection between residents and their local representatives while encouraging greater participation in the democratic process. Municipal councillors play a crucial role in addressing ward-level concerns, coordinating with municipal authorities, and ensuring the effective implementation of civic development projects. Their contribution is essential in maintaining quality public services and supporting the continued growth of Mohali.
Ward 2, like many other parts of SAS Nagar Mohali, continues to experience increasing expectations regarding civic infrastructure and public welfare. Active engagement with residents helps identify local priorities and creates opportunities for better planning and implementation of development works. Such programmes also reinforce the importance of community participation in shaping the future of local governance.
Mohali’s rapid urban development has increased the need for responsive municipal administration and citizen-focused governance. Strong local institutions and effective public representation are vital for addressing emerging challenges and ensuring that development benefits every section of society. Through regular interaction with residents, elected representatives can better understand community needs and work towards practical solutions.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has focused on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and promoting development-oriented administration. Municipal representatives are expected to play a significant role in advancing these objectives and ensuring that public welfare remains at the centre of governance.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated Rajinder Prasad Sharma and extended his best wishes for the upcoming elections. He said that local representatives should remain closely connected with the people and work with dedication to address community concerns and improve civic services.
He further encouraged residents to actively participate in the electoral process and support candidates committed to development and public welfare. He expressed confidence that Rajinder Prasad Sharma would work sincerely for the residents of Ward 2 and contribute towards strengthening local infrastructure and community development.
The programme concluded with interactions between residents and community leaders, highlighting the importance of citizen engagement in local governance. As Mohali moved closer to the Municipal Corporation elections, the focus remained on development, improved civic services, and building stronger communities through responsive and accountable governance.
