As part of the Mohali Municipal Corporation election campaign, MLA Kulwant Singh visited Ward No. 37 and participated in election outreach activities in support of AAP candidate Bibi Kuldeep Kaur. During the programme, he interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns, and discussed the importance of strengthening local governance and accelerating development works in the area.
The campaign event witnessed participation from residents, community members, and local supporters who gathered to engage in discussions about civic services, infrastructure needs, and the future development of their ward. Local body elections play a crucial role in shaping neighbourhood-level governance, as elected councillors serve as a direct link between citizens and the Municipal Corporation.
During his visit, MLA Kulwant Singh encouraged residents to actively participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote. He emphasized that strong public participation is essential for effective governance and helps ensure that local development priorities receive the attention they deserve. Residents were also informed about the importance of electing representatives who remain accessible to the public and work consistently to address civic concerns.
Ward 37, like many parts of SAS Nagar Mohali, continues to require sustained attention towards civic infrastructure, public amenities, sanitation, road maintenance, street lighting, and other citizen services. The role of municipal councillors is vital in coordinating with authorities and ensuring that development projects are implemented efficiently for the benefit of local communities.
Mohali’s continued urban growth has increased the need for responsive local governance and citizen-focused planning. Strengthening municipal institutions and ensuring regular engagement with residents are important factors in maintaining quality public services and improving the overall quality of life in the city.
Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has focused on improving public services and strengthening local governance mechanisms. Municipal representatives are expected to play an important role in supporting these efforts and ensuring that development reaches every ward and neighbourhood.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that residents deserve quality civic services, better infrastructure, and transparent governance. He expressed confidence in Bibi Kuldeep Kaur’s ability to serve the people of Ward 37 and encouraged residents to support her candidature. He also assured that continued efforts would be made to ensure all-round development of the area and to address local issues in a timely manner.
He further stated that development is most effective when elected representatives remain closely connected with the people and work in partnership with local communities. According to him, sustained public engagement and responsive governance are essential for creating better living conditions and supporting the future growth of Mohali.
The campaign programme concluded with interaction between residents and local leaders, reflecting the importance of citizen participation in the democratic process. As Mohali moves towards the municipal elections, the focus remains on strengthening local governance, improving public services, and ensuring development that benefits residents across all sections of society.
