Continuing efforts to support the spiritual journeys of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off the 20th pilgrimage bus from Phase-7 of the constituency under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Yatra Plan.
The bus carrying pilgrims to Sri Amritsar Sahib was flagged off in the presence of local residents and representatives, marking the beginning of a well-organised journey. The initiative is aimed at enabling elderly residents to visit religious places with ease and dignity.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that facilitating such journeys reflects a strong commitment towards serving senior citizens and ensuring their spiritual aspirations are fulfilled.
He further highlighted that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is ensuring that all necessary facilities, including transportation, accommodation, and meals, are provided to the pilgrims throughout the journey.
Pilgrims expressed happiness and appreciation for the initiative, noting that the scheme has made it possible for them to undertake religious visits comfortably.
Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to expanding access to such welfare initiatives so that more residents of the Mohali constituency can benefit in the future.
