Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh welcomed the recent court verdict related to AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, saying the developments have once again proven that truth and constitutional institutions remain stronger than politically motivated allegations.
Reacting to the verdict, Kulwant Singh said repeated attempts by the BJP-led central government to target Arvind Kejriwal through central agencies have failed to sustain themselves in court.
“When intentions are clear and politics is dedicated towards public welfare, false allegations automatically collapse with time. Truth has ultimately prevailed,” Kulwant Singh said while interacting with party workers in Mohali.
The statement came after important legal reliefs and court observations in cases linked to Arvind Kejriwal, where courts raised concerns regarding prolonged incarceration and procedural fairness during the investigation process. The developments were seen by AAP leaders as a major political and moral setback for BJP’s aggressive campaign against the party leadership.
Kulwant Singh said the BJP attempted to create a political atmosphere through media trials and agency action, but the judiciary ultimately relied on facts and evidence rather than political narratives.
“For months, an image was created as if allegations themselves were proof. But India’s courts function through evidence, not propaganda,” he said.
The Mohali MLA further stated that despite sustained political attacks, Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity among ordinary citizens remained strong because people continued connecting with AAP’s governance model focused on education, healthcare, electricity relief and public welfare.
According to Kulwant Singh, the court verdict has strengthened confidence among AAP workers across Punjab, especially those who stood firmly with the leadership throughout the legal and political battle.
He also said the developments send a larger democratic message that opposition leaders should be challenged politically through elections and governance performance rather than through misuse of institutions.
Under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, Punjab’s AAP government has consistently maintained that governance, development and public welfare remain its primary priorities despite continuous political confrontations at the national level.
Political observers believe the legal battle surrounding Kejriwal has now become one of the defining political confrontations in contemporary Indian politics, with every court decision carrying national political significance.
For AAP supporters in Punjab, however, the latest verdict represents more than legal relief alone.
In their view, it reinforces a growing public belief that allegations may dominate headlines temporarily —
but credibility is ultimately decided by truth, evidence and public trust.
