Kulwant Singh flagged off a pilgrimage bus from village Balomajra in Mohali under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Yatra Scheme, an initiative of the Punjab Government aimed at facilitating spiritual journeys for senior citizens and devotees.
During the pilgrimage tour, the devotees will visit major religious and historical sites including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Partition Museum. The scheme has been designed to provide citizens with a safe, comfortable, and organized pilgrimage experience.
Speaking during the programme, Kulwant Singh said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to ensuring that pilgrims receive all necessary facilities throughout the journey. Arrangements related to transportation, safety, food, and assistance have been made for the convenience of the devotees.
The pilgrims and their families appreciated the initiative and thanked the Punjab Government for launching welfare-oriented programmes that support religious and cultural travel for senior citizens across the state.
