In a move aimed at resolving persistent civic issues, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh initiated sewerage pipeline work in Phase-1, Mohali. The project, estimated at around ₹60 lakh, is expected to provide much-needed relief to residents facing sewer blockage problems for several months.
The new pipeline is being laid to strengthen the existing sewerage system and improve drainage efficiency in the area. Residents have long raised concerns about frequent blockages and overflow, which affected daily life and sanitation conditions.
Highlighting the significance of the project, the MLA stated that such infrastructure upgrades are essential to ensure better civic amenities and quality of life for citizens. He credited the efforts of the Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for prioritizing public convenience and addressing grassroots-level issues.
Local residents welcomed the commencement of the work, expressing hope that the new pipeline will permanently resolve the recurring sewerage problems in the area.
