Mohali Kings secured their place in the semi-finals of the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League after defeating Bathinda Royals by five wickets in an exciting match at the I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali on Wednesday.

Chasing a target of 185, Mohali Kings completed the chase with a score of 188 for five in 18.4 overs. Captain Ramandeep Singh led the way with an unbeaten 71 off 36 balls, while Sohraab Dhaliwal provided the finishing push with an unbeaten 40 off 20 balls.

Bathinda Royals, who were sent in to bat first, faced early trouble after losing two wickets with only 17 runs on the board. However, Harnoor Singh and Gourav Choudhary steadied the innings and brought Bathinda back into the contest with a 74-run partnership for the third wicket.

Harnoor played a patient knock of 43 runs from 36 balls, while Gourav contributed 35 off 22 deliveries. Their dismissals left Bathinda at 93 for four, but the Royals still had enough batting depth to finish strongly.

Ridham Satyawan added 31 runs from 19 balls before Shahbaz Sandhu produced an important late-innings contribution. Sandhu remained unbeaten on 38 off 23 balls, helping Bathinda Royals reach 184 for six after their allotted 20 overs.

For Mohali Kings, Ayush Goyal was the standout bowler, taking two wickets for 27 runs from his four overs.

Mohali’s chase got off to a difficult start as the home side slipped to just 4 for two. The early setbacks gave Bathinda an opportunity to put pressure on the Mohali batting line-up.

Anmolpreet Singh and Ramandeep Singh, however, rebuilt the innings with a crucial 52-run partnership. Anmolpreet attacked the Bathinda bowlers and scored 49 runs from just 28 balls before being dismissed, narrowly missing out on a half-century.

Mohali lost a few more wickets during the middle stages, keeping the contest alive. Ramandeep, though, continued to bat confidently and kept the required run rate under control.

The Mohali captain played the decisive innings of the match, finishing unbeaten on 71 from 36 deliveries. His innings provided the stability and attacking momentum Mohali needed during the latter part of the chase.

At the other end, Sohraab Dhaliwal played an important supporting role. His unbeaten 40 from 20 balls ensured Mohali did not face any further setbacks and completed the chase with eight balls to spare.

The victory gives Mohali Kings another boost in the tournament as they move into the semi-final stage. The team has shown strong batting performances during the league, with Ramandeep Singh once again proving influential in a high-pressure chase.

The Sher-E-Punjab T20 League is being played at the I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali, with the tournament bringing together six franchise teams from across Punjab.
