Our editorial purpose
Mohali Dialogues aims to publish local information that is accurate, useful, clearly presented and relevant to people following Mohali and SAS Nagar.
Facts, attribution and opinion
Reported facts should be distinguishable from analysis and opinion. Claims from officials, organisations, contributors or members of the public should be attributed when attribution helps readers understand the source of the information.
Verification and sourcing
Depending on the story, verification may include official notices, public documents, direct statements, on-ground observations, photographs, public records or other reliable sources. Not every source is equally strong, so the level of certainty in a story should match the available evidence.
Headlines and context
Headlines should reflect the substance of a story and should not knowingly create a misleading impression. Important context, limitations or uncertainty should not be hidden merely to make a story sound more dramatic.
Opinion and contributed work
Opinion and first-person contributions may express a viewpoint, but factual claims remain subject to reasonable editorial checks. Promotional, copied or misleading submissions may be rejected.
Updates and corrections
Local projects, public services and official decisions can change after publication. Stories may be updated when meaningful new information emerges. Material factual errors should be corrected transparently in line with our Corrections Policy.
