A significant initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji was marked on 9 August 2026, with the foundation stone of the Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Bani Study Centre laid at Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met Padma Shri Sant Niranjan Das Ji at Dera Sachkhand Ballan and sought his blessings during the visit. The foundation stone of the study centre was laid on the occasion as part of the Punjab Government’s efforts to promote awareness of the life, philosophy, and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji among younger generations.
The proposed centre will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹24.55 crore. It is intended to provide children and young people with an opportunity to learn about the life and teachings of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji and understand the social and spiritual values reflected in his Bani.
The initiative is expected to serve as an educational and cultural space where younger generations can engage with the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. His message of equality, dignity, compassion, and social harmony continues to hold relevance in contemporary society, making efforts to introduce these values to children particularly significant.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the establishment of the study centre is an important step towards connecting the younger generation with the spiritual and social legacy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He said that providing children with opportunities to understand the Guru’s life, Bani, and philosophy would help preserve this heritage and carry its message forward to future generations.
He also welcomed the government’s initiative and expressed hope that the centre would become an important place of learning for children and students interested in the teachings and philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji.
The foundation stone ceremony brought together religious figures, government representatives, devotees, and members of the community. The occasion highlighted the importance of combining education, spiritual heritage, and social values in creating awareness among younger generations. With an investment of ₹24.55 crore, the proposed Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Bani Study Centre is expected to become an important institution for studying and understanding the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji.
