Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali at his office, where citizens from various sectors, wards, and villages presented the civic issues affecting their respective localities. The interaction was part of the Mayor’s regular public outreach programme, aimed at ensuring direct communication with residents and addressing their concerns through responsive governance.
During the meeting, residents shared issues related to municipal services, sanitation, road maintenance, drainage, street lighting, water supply, parks, and other civic matters under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana listened carefully to each representation and assured the residents that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt and effective action.
The Mayor emphasised that regular interaction with citizens is an important part of strengthening local governance. He said that meeting residents personally allows the Municipal Corporation to better understand the challenges faced in different neighbourhoods and helps ensure that development works are carried out according to local priorities and public needs.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana further stated that the Municipal Corporation remains committed to maintaining continuous coordination with the concerned authorities so that public grievances can be resolved efficiently. He noted that timely follow-up and accountability are essential for improving civic services and enhancing the quality of life for the people of Mohali.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and resolving their concerns remains his foremost responsibility. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and promoting transparent and citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that every issue falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to ensure its early resolution. The meeting reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible governance and meaningful public participation. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to develop, regular interaction with residents will remain an important part of improving civic infrastructure, strengthening public services, and ensuring that development reaches every part of the city.
