Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana met residents from different parts of SAS Nagar Mohali and listened to their civic concerns during a public interaction. The meeting provided citizens with an opportunity to directly share the issues affecting their localities and seek assistance regarding matters related to municipal services and public welfare.
During the interaction, residents raised a range of concerns related to civic infrastructure, sanitation, roads, drainage, street lighting, water supply, and other local issues. Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana carefully heard every grievance and assured the people that each matter would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely action.
The Mayor said that maintaining regular contact with residents is essential for responsive and transparent governance. Direct public interactions help the Municipal Corporation understand the needs of different neighbourhoods and ensure that civic services are improved based on the priorities of the people. He added that citizen participation remains an important part of achieving sustainable and inclusive urban development.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana also emphasised the importance of effective coordination with government departments to ensure that public grievances are addressed without unnecessary delay. He said that continuous follow-up with the concerned authorities is necessary to resolve civic issues efficiently and improve the quality of services delivered to residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that serving the people and resolving their problems remains his highest priority. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure, improving public services, and delivering transparent, citizen-centric governance. He assured residents that all issues falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be pursued with the concerned authorities to ensure their early resolution. The meeting reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued commitment to accessible governance and active citizen engagement. As Mohali continues to grow through improved infrastructure, better municipal services, and welfare-oriented initiatives, regular interaction with residents will remain an important part of ensuring that development reflects the needs and aspirations of the people of SAS Nagar Mohali.
