Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana chaired a comprehensive meeting with the councillors of the Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar Mohali, to review the development needs of different wards and discuss the progress of ongoing civic works. Councillors representing wards across Mohali participated in the meeting and shared updates on local issues, public feedback, and infrastructure requirements.
During the meeting, councillors presented the concerns and priorities of their respective wards, highlighting issues related to roads, sanitation, drainage, street lighting, parks, water supply, cleanliness, and other civic services. They also reviewed the status of ongoing development projects and discussed the need for timely execution of works to ensure better public facilities for residents.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana carefully listened to the views and suggestions of every councillor and encouraged an open discussion on the challenges being faced in different parts of the city. He emphasised that effective coordination between elected representatives and Municipal Corporation officials is essential for resolving local issues and ensuring balanced development across all wards.
The Mayor said that every ward has its own development priorities and that the Municipal Corporation is committed to addressing them through systematic planning and regular monitoring. He directed that issues raised during the meeting be examined in detail and followed up with the concerned departments so that appropriate action can be taken without unnecessary delay.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring transparent and people-centric governance. He assured all the councillors that the concerns raised during the meeting would receive due attention and that sincere efforts would be made to resolve the issues of every ward at the earliest. He also reaffirmed the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to working collectively for the planned and inclusive development of Mohali. The meeting reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued focus on collaborative governance and effective coordination among elected representatives. As SAS Nagar Mohali continues to grow, regular review meetings and close cooperation between councillors and the administration will remain essential for improving civic infrastructure, strengthening citizen services, and ensuring that development benefits every part of the city.
