MLA Kulwant Singh has extended his support to a public petition calling for the continued availability of regular petrol alongside E20 fuel, emphasising the importance of protecting consumer choice and ensuring that vehicle owners have access to fuel options that suit their vehicles.
The initiative highlights concerns raised by many vehicle owners regarding the transition to E20 fuel, particularly for older vehicles that may not be specifically designed or recommended to operate on higher ethanol blends. The petition seeks the continued availability of conventional petrol so that consumers can make informed decisions based on their vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations and individual requirements.
Addressing the issue, MLA Kulwant Singh stated that consumer convenience and informed choice should remain central to any transition in fuel policy.
