Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana chaired a meeting at the Municipal Corporation Office in SAS Nagar Mohali with the Senior Deputy Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and councillors to review civic issues and development works across different wards of the city. The meeting focused on understanding the concerns raised by elected representatives and identifying measures to ensure their timely resolution.
During the meeting, councillors from various wards shared the civic issues and development requirements of their respective areas. Discussions covered matters related to road maintenance, sewerage, sanitation, drainage, street lighting, cleanliness, public infrastructure, and other essential municipal services. Each representative highlighted the needs of the residents in their ward and sought early action on pending issues.
Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana reviewed the concerns raised during the meeting and emphasized the importance of close coordination between elected representatives and Municipal Corporation officials. He said that regular review meetings help identify local priorities, improve planning, and ensure that development works are carried out efficiently. Such interactions also strengthen accountability and enable quicker resolution of public grievances.
The Mayor assured the councillors that all genuine issues falling within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation would be taken up on priority. He directed the concerned departments to examine the matters discussed during the meeting and ensure that necessary action is initiated without unnecessary delay. He also stressed the need for continuous monitoring of ongoing development works so that residents receive better civic services.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sarabjeet Singh Samana said that teamwork among elected representatives is essential for delivering effective governance and improving the quality of life for the people of Mohali. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening urban infrastructure and enhancing citizen services across the state. He added that regular coordination with councillors helps the Municipal Corporation understand ward-level requirements and ensures that development projects are implemented in line with the needs of residents. The meeting reflected the Municipal Corporation’s continued focus on responsive governance, coordinated planning, and citizen-centric development. As Mohali continues to grow, regular consultation with councillors and timely execution of civic works will remain key to strengthening Mohali Infrastructure, improving public services, and ensuring balanced development across all wards of SAS Nagar Mohali.
