Bringing relief to protesting farmers, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh joined members of the Kisan Insaf Morcha as their hunger strike concluded following acceptance of their demands related to land pooling.
The protest had been ongoing outside the GMADA office, where farmers had been raising concerns over land pooling policies. With the Punjab Government agreeing to address their demands, the hunger strike was formally called off, marking a significant breakthrough in the matter.
Kulwant Singh participated in the concluding stage of the protest and interacted with the farmers, acknowledging their concerns and reaffirming support for their issues. He stated that the resolution reflects the government’s commitment to addressing matters through dialogue and timely intervention.
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian was also present on the occasion, underscoring the government’s engagement with the issue.
Kulwant Singh highlighted that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, acted decisively to resolve the matter and bring an end to the protest.
Farmers welcomed the development and expressed satisfaction over the acceptance of their demands.
The MLA reiterated his commitment to standing with farmers and ensuring that their concerns continue to be addressed through effective coordination with the government.
