Kulwant Singh Flags Off Two Pilgrimage Buses from Phase-1 Mohali

Continuing initiatives to support the spiritual journeys of senior citizens, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off two buses carrying pilgrims from Phase-1 under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Yatra Plan.

The buses were flagged off in the presence of residents and local representatives, marking the beginning of a well-organised pilgrimage. During the journey, elderly pilgrims will visit several prominent religious and historical destinations before returning to Mohali.

Speaking on the occasion, Kulwant Singh said that the initiative is aimed at ensuring that senior citizens can undertake such journeys with comfort, dignity, and proper support. He highlighted that many elderly residents often find it difficult to plan such visits independently, and this scheme provides them with a convenient and organised opportunity.

He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is ensuring that all necessary arrangements including transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided to the pilgrims throughout the journey.

Residents appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the continued efforts being made for the welfare of senior citizens in Mohali.

Kulwant Singh reiterated his commitment to expanding access to such welfare initiatives so that more residents across the constituency can benefit in the future.
