In a major step towards strengthening tourism infrastructure and promoting eco-tourism in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a new eco-tourism project developed at Saleran Dam in Hoshiarpur at a cost of ₹2.80 crore.
The project has been designed to encourage sustainable tourism while creating new opportunities for local economic growth and employment generation in the region. As part of the development, modern visitor facilities including four eco-friendly huts and cafeterias with a seating capacity of around 80 people have been established to enhance the tourist experience.
The initiative is expected to attract visitors seeking nature-based tourism destinations while also supporting local businesses and boosting regional development. The project reflects the Punjab government’s continued focus on developing tourism infrastructure across the state through environmentally conscious and community-oriented initiatives. Under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, efforts are being made to position Punjab as an emerging tourism destination by promoting natural heritage sites, improving visitor facilities, and encouraging sustainable development models that benefit local communities
